Getting Referrals from YouTube
Hey everyone! One of the first things that I did when I joined Yuwie was make a few simple videos and upload them to YouTube. This is where a lot of my new level one referrals are coming from now, and the videos have been up for over a couple months.
Almost every computer nowadays comes with some sort of program that allows you to make simple videos or animations. There are also websites on the internet where you can make videos. Find a way to throw together a movie, a clip, or something that you can upload to YouTube.
Getting people to watch them depends on the keywords you include in the video titles and descriptions and how popular or competitive those keywords are. Video sites like YouTube are so popular the search engines are constantly indexing them, so results can appear overnight literally.
In order for this to work and to generate new referrals/make more money, you must put Your Splash Page URL first thing in the video description, filling the rest with keywords and key phrases.
Your personal Splash Page Url is:
http://yuwietip.com/i?i=your_yuwie_id_number
You must remember to replace “your_yuwie_id_number” with your actual numeric id number. What number is this? Simple, just go to your Yuwie profile page and look at the number in your browser’s URL:
(…profile/?id=THIS_NUMBER)
What are keywords and key phrases? These are just popular terms that people are going to type into Youtube or Google to search for a video to watch.
Here are some important tips to get more video views:
1. Create something shocking
2. Create something funny
3. Beautiful women always attract attention
4. Pick an attention getting thumbnail for your video.
YouTube currently makes a thumbnail preview for your video using whatever is at the halfway point in your video.
You should try to edit wisely so you can have a thumbnail preview that will make people want to click and watch your video. Or, do like LonleyGirl15 does and put a frame or two in the middle to make your video thumbnail.
5. Write a Catchy Video Title.
After you have made a good video thumbnail, its time to write an attention getting title. Try to summarize the video in a few words. Don’t use ALL CAPS or all lower case, try to Title Your Video Like This. Most people browsing videos are very impatient so get to the point. Write a title to give viewers and idea of what your video is about.
6. Write a Good Video Description - Use Tags
Don’t overlook the importance of your video description. A good video description should summarize the video in a few sentences or couple of paragraphs. This can vary depending on the length of your video. Some videos may prompt questions from viewers, so update your video description to answer questions. Also use as many tags that are relevant to your video. A good description with tags will give you more viewers from search results.
7. Choose the Right Category
This should be a no brainer, but make sure your video is properly categorized. If you put your video in the Make Money Online category when your video is of your friend getting kicked in the crotch, you will only annoy viewers. Pick the category that best matches who you think will like your video.
8. Promote Your Video
You’ve spent a ton time making and editing your video, choosing a thumbnail, crafting a catchy title with description and choosing a relevant category. You can’t rest now. If you really want your video to gain traction you need to promote it. The first thing you can do is join some of the groups on YouTube and submit your video to those groups.
Next, click the Post Video link under your video to submit to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious, etc. If you really believe in your video, do whatever you can to promote it. You cant expect it to be discovered while you sleep at night.
If you do all of these things, you will be sure to get views. Keep making videos and uploading them to Youtube and the referrals will come pouring in. There are also many other video sites to post your videos as well…
